FAQs

Will you draw me/my wife/mum/girlfriend/daughter?

Unfortunately I won't. It’s a daily request and I’m always flattered that people want their loved ones portrayed in my style but at the end of the day portraiture is a vastly different art form to fashion illustration.

What about my cat?

I only do fashion illustration sorry! Yes I have been asked, on occasion, to draw people’s pets. While I love cats (especially mine!) I prefer to draw pretty girls.

Can you design my logo?

This is more of a graphic designers job. I’m currently focusing on the fine art side of my fashion illustration so at this point I am not accepting any commercial work.

Can you re-paint that for me?

No, sorry! Once I have completed a piece I want that piece to be the only original in the world. I have literally thousands of ideas in my head at any given time for new paintings so I won't waste time painting something I have already painted.

What is the smallest original work you do?

The smallest size I paint on canvass is 500 x 500 mm (19.69 x 19.68”) anything smaller and the work loses detail, energy and flow because of the techniques and materials I use.

Why don’t you draw boys?

2021 is the year of Pippa McManus' Boys! Stay tuned...

Where do I find your prints?

On my website under ‘Shop’. I offer a variety of affordable prints in A2 and A3 sizes with free worldwide shipping.

Where can I buy an original?

I will occasionally put original pieces up in my shop. I also hold solo shows every year and put individual pieces in group shows around the world. Two galleries in Australia represent me: Friends of Leon (82 Marlborough St, Surry Hills NSW 2010, 0403 248 978, leon@friendsofleon.com) and Studio 281(281 Guildford Rd, Perth WA 6051, (08) 9271 0922, enquiries@studio281.com.au)
